Gary Brown’s medical career began in the Navy as the lead corpsman for Balboa Naval Hospital’s Department of Orthopedics in San Diego, California. He then attended California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo followed by U.C. Davis where he completed the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program.
Gary has been working with Dr. Jeter and Orthopedic Associates for 25 years—starting in 1983. He assists in all facets of the practice including first assisting in surgery. Gary is very knowledgeable in bracing techniques to both help prevent and treat injuries. He is active in local allied health professionals groups and sits on the interdisciplinary committee at Good Samaritan Hospital. He also contributes his time helping care for athletes at both West Valley and San Jose City Colleges.
Outside of his career, Gary and his wife, who is also a PA, are quite active with their sons, both of whom are in college. Their interests are extensive and include traveling, skiing, biking, boating, fishing, and scuba diving. Gary is also a passionate fan of the L.A. Lakers!
